Pruitt’s nomination to lead the EPA advances

The Senate Environment and Public Works committee has advanced Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to lead the EPA.

Following a Democratic boycott of the meeting to consider the nomination earlier in the week, Republican members voted to suspend committee rules and approved Pruitt unanimously.

Pruitt’s nomination now goes to consideration of the full Senate.
