Program helps ag internships be successful

An agriculture group is working with college interns to help them get the most out of their internship experience.

Amber Cafferty with the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin tells Brownfield PDPW’s Accelerate program spans across all agriculture sectors. “It’s designed to help interns get the most out of their internship, as well as help them be successful in their future careers, so we’re working on a lot of professional development and those skills that are going to help them be career-ready.”

Cafferty says the interns will network with peers and build the skills that help young people get ready for an ag career. “Personal development, having a better understanding about they impact a team and how a team impacts them, as well as giving and receiving feedback, working with peers and others in the industry, and so much more.”

The PDPW Accelerate program has interns that signed up through their internship employer and independently.  The workshop takes place Wednesday in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
