Princess Kay finalists hope to represent Minnesota dairy farmers

Ten finalists are competing to represent Minnesota dairy farmers as the 70th Princess Kay of the Milky Way.

Jenna Davis with Midwest Dairy leads the program.

“We have a long and really rich history of dairy promotion and Princess Kay serving as a goodwill ambassador for Minnesota’s dairy farmers.”

The finalists are Makenzie Alberts of Pine Island, Gracie Ash of Milaca, Jalyssa Beaudry of Otsego, Katherine Hills of Monticello, Montana Krueger of Arlington, Emma Kuball of Waterville, Megan Ratka of Cold Spring, Anne Simpson of Pine Island, Josephine Sutherland of Flandreau, and Riley Ward of St. Charles.

Davis tells Brownfield connecting with consumers and sharing the good story dairy has to offer unites every Princess Kay.

“And even the Princess Kay finalists and candidates, even county dairy princesses, just their desire to help share their own story about why dairy is important and what it means to them. I think that story is just something that is really genuine and authentic.”

The next Princess Kay will be crowned on the eve of the Minnesota State Fair August 23rd.
