Pompeo optimistic about U.S.-Japan trade deal soon

The Secretary of State is looking forward to a U.S.-Japan trade deal soon.  Mike Pompeo tweeted Monday that progress made on the U.S.-Japan trade deal at the G7 Summit will further a strong economic partnership, calling it a huge win for both nations.

Pompeo also says the two countries had reached consensus on agricultural, digital and industrial issues.  The Secretary says he’s looking forward for a completed trade deal at the United Nations General Assembly, which begins September 17th in New York.
