Plenty of lessons from the 2019 growing season

The 2019 growing season presented farmers with challenges they’ve never faced before.  Pete Uitenbroek with Dekalb Asgrow says one of the things farmers learned was to have a contingency plan.

He tells Brownfield farmers had to make some tough decisions this spring, but despite having to move to Plan B or Plan C, farmers did have a reliable supply of genetics to choose from.

And now, Uitenbroek says farmers across the Midwest are hoping to get enough GDUs and a long enough growing season to get this crop to maturity.
