Planting progressed in some areas of Indiana

Corn and soybean planting progressed in some areas of Indiana despite cooler temperatures last week.

According to the USDA, four percent of the corn crop and two percent of soybeans are planted.

Winter wheat remained stable and 26 percent of the crop is jointing.

Farmers also made progress on fieldwork including fertilizer and herbicide applications.
