Planting limited in Ohio

Warmer temperatures this week helped dry out Ohio soil to allow more fieldwork to start. Farmers top dressed wheat, put on herbicides, and began tillage. Planting was very limited. Producers anticipate much more progress with corn and other crops if the weather stays warm and dry.  Less than one percent of the corn planted.  Many commercial vegetable growers were able to plant.
