Perdue tells AFBF members to keep trade a priority

Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue tells American Farm Bureau members they  need to continue to stay engaged in trade policy issues. At the Farm Bureau virtual convention, Perdue said more markets abroad are needed to sell the abundance of American agriculture.

“This means more trade deals like the USMCA and holding China to their trading commitments.”

Perdue says those deals would not have happened without the near-universal support of the ag community. He urged members to set their sites on Southeast Asia, the booming markets of Africa and the U.K. He says Farm Bureau has a powerful voice to influence policymakers and should keep using it.
