Pacelle resigns from HSUS, report says

Wayne Pacelle resigned Friday as CEO of the Humane society of the United States, according to the New York Times, amid allegations of sexual harassment.

It was reported Thursday, that the majority of the HSUS board voted to keep Pacelle and end the internal investigation into the reports of harassment. Seven board members resigned and reports say some key donors were calling for Pacelle’s resignation.

The HSUS has been criticized by agriculture producers for funding efforts nationally and in numerous states to go after livestock animal production, under the guise of supporting animal shelters.
