One quarter of Missouri soybeans planted

Warm, clear weather resulted in a big jump in Missouri planting progress. Topsoil moisture is 96 percent adequate to surplus.  Corn planting is 87 percent done, a little behind last year but a little ahead of normal.  Corn is about 60 percent emerged, and the crop is mostly fair to good. Soybean planting is about one quarter complete. Cotton planting is almost half done. Almost all winter wheat is headed and that crop is mostly fair to good. Most Missouri pastures are rated fair to good.
