Agriculture was on display for members of an Ohio Leadership group over the weekend. The Turnkey Leadership class toured farms and Ag businesses in Marion County in NW Ohio to learn the role of Ag in everyday society.

Many in the class had limited knowledge of ag before the tour but left with good impressions.

Marion County farmer John Buck organized the tour and tells Brownfield it’s a chance for people to see how they are connected to the food they eat every day.

“Most everybody is so far removed from it, so I just want to open up the barn doors and to see what really goes on in agriculture and when they see things they question it and look at it from all sides and not just some emotional plea in some way,” says Buck.

Turnkey leadership is an eight-month training workshop for professionals in leadership positions all across Ohio.
