NFU discusses farmer mental stress/suicide

National Farmers Union members at their Washington, D.C. fly-in didn’t shy away from mental health issues as a result of the pressures in agriculture.

“We’ve heard all of the reports about the growing crises in mental health and farm suicide. All of this relating back to all these pressures and problems we are facing,”

NFU’s Rob Larew tells Brownfield Ag News they are letting lawmakers know what farmers are dealing with on all sides, “And we’re simply asking legislators to look at possible solutions here and really better understand what farm families are dealing with all across the country right now.”
