Granular and Pioneer Agronomy, both part of Corteva Agriscience, have launched a digital planting guide for farmers.

Dr. Mary Gumz, agronomy manager with Pioneer says the first-of-its-kind resources is built to address three specific questions.  “From an agronomic standpoint there are several questions farmers weigh before planting season,” she says.  “When should I start?  What should my population be? What should my planting depth be?  As a primary feature of this guide, we took a deep myth busting approach to the three questions I just mentioned.”

Ken O’Brien, Granular US commercial digital marketing lead says farmers should take time now to prep for the upcoming planting season.  “The features of the planting guide include a seeding rate calculator that helps farmers find the correct seeding rates for their fields product by product,” he says.  “The ability to select your state and view state specific yield trends to get a more localized view of the data set we’re talking about.”

He says it also has a planting checklist, video tutorials, and direct access to in-depth Pioneer Agronomy research on corn and soybean planting depth, planting date, and population research.

The proprietary digital planting guide is available on both desktop and mobile devices.  A link can be found HERE.
