Nebraska’s dicamba use decision applauded by Nebraska Farm Bureau

Nebraska Farm Bureau is applauding the state ag department’s decision to allow the continued sale and use of the three dicamba products impacted by a recent court ruling.

Farm Bureau president Steve Nelson says the department’s action was a welcome relief for farmers until the legal uncertainties of dicamba usage are clarified. But Nelson says that won’t be the end of the challenges facing dicamba.

“Because those products are up for re-registration this year and we’ll need to be working very hard on that, to make sure that these types of weed control programs are available to producers, if that’s what they want to use,” Nelson says.
