Nebraska’s crops progressing on schedule

Nebraska’s corn and soybean crops are progressing right on schedule.

Forty-two percent of corn is in the dough stage, compared to the five-year average of 37 percent.  And 92 percent of soybeans have set pods, slightly ahead of the 88 percent norm.  A few soybean fields are starting to drop leaves.

Corn rates 75 percent good to excellent this week, while soybeans are called 76 percent good to excellent.
