Nebraska’s crops developing close to normal

Despite cooler-than-normal temperatures over the past month, Nebraska’s crops are developing close to their five-year averages.

As of Sunday, 68 percent of the state’s corn crop was dented, near the 72 average, while ten percent of the crop was mature, compared to the 13 average. The crop was rated 63 percent good to excellent.

Eight percent of soybeans were dropping leaves, near the 11 percent average. Soybeans rated 64 percent good to excellent.
