The latest crop progress report puts the state’s soybean crop at 63 percent good to excellent, also down three points from a week ago.

Pasture and range conditions continue to deteriorate, now down to 35 percent good to excellent and 26 percent poor to very poor.

With the third cutting of alfalfa now underway, alfalfa condition rates 50 percent good to excellent.

Nebraska’s winter wheat harvest is nearing the end. Eighty-three percent of the crop has been harvested, well ahead of the 58 average.
