Nebraska’s corn condition rating fell to 66 percent good to excellent in this week’s crop progress report. That’s down four points from last week and eight points from two weeks ago.

The crop has been hurt by dry weather in some parts of the state. An early-July windstorm in some areas also damaged the crop.

The soybean condition rating saw a slight decline, down two points to 71 percent good to excellent.  Sorghum rated 56 percent good to excellent.

Pasture and range conditions continued to decline and are now rated 45 percent good to excellent.

Winter wheat harvest was 79 percent complete.
