Nebraskans testify at EPA hearing

Representatives of Nebraska corn and ethanol groups testified Wednesday at the hearing on EPA’s biofuels proposal in Michigan.

Jeff Wilkerson with the Nebraska Corn Board said Nebraska corn farmers are angry and frustrated over EPA’s proposal.

“On behalf of Nebraska’s hard-working producers, I ask you to restore the integrity of the RFS and follow through with President Trump’s promise to American farmers,” Wilkerson said. “This decision is a defining moment for your administration. Whatever the outcome, our farmers will remember.”

Roger Berry with the Nebraska Ethanol Board said the EPA’s proposal “does nothing to restore the 4.2 billion gallons in devastating losses to biofuel demand for compliance years 2016 through 2018”.
