Nebraska reports another HPAI case

The Nebraska Department of Agriculture and USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection service have confirmed the state’s 14the case of highly pathogenic avian influenza.

NDA says a backyard flock in Northeast Nebraska’s Knox County has tested positive. A 6.2-mile surveillance zone will be established around the flock.

State Veterinarian Dr. Roger Dudley says the flock has been depopulated and disposed of and poultry producers in the surveillance area should report signs and symptoms of HPAI to NDA immediately.
