Nebraska corn planting is 79 percent complete

Corn planting in Nebraska stood at 79 percent as of Sunday, compared to the five-year average of 60 percent. Thirty percent of the crop had emerged.

Soybean planting was 54 percent, well head of the 23 average, with six percent of soybeans emerged.

Winter wheat rated 67 percent good to excellent. Wheat was just starting to head.

Pasture and range conditions rated 77 percent good to excellent.
