NCGA launches campaign highlighting sustainability

The National Corn Growers Association has launched a campaign to share farmers’ sustainability stories.

NCGA Chairman of Consumer and Engagement Action Team Lowell Neitzel tells Brownfield the campaign’s goal is to make a connection with legislators making decisions that directly impact farmers.

“Have them put a face with their decision so to speak,” he said. “That way it has some more ramifications that what they’re doing everyday really does have an impact on people.”

Neitzel said the campaign contains farmer stories on NCGA’s website and runs ads in Washington D.C. highlighting sustainability practices used by growers.

“We’re trying to do a lot more with a lot less,” he said. “I think that’s the goal that they’re wanting and that’s definitely the goal that we’re trying to accomplish too.”

NCGA President John Linder said farmers have great stories but they have to be told. NCGA’s campaign will run until July.
