NASS suspends in-person data collection

The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service has suspended the in-person collection of data from producers until at least April 3rd.

The service is encouraging farmers and ranchers to complete surveys online and says while there is the option to answer questionnaires over the phone or by mail, mail responses still require in-office personnel.

The USDA says the March 26th Quarterly Hogs and Pigs report and the March 31st Prospective Planting and Quarterly Stocks reports remain on schedule.

Online responses can be made at agcounts.usda.gov and information can be submitted by phone, toll-free, at 866-294-8560.
