NASDA to vote on policy during virtual annual meeting

Like many events, the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture annual meeting will be held virtually this year.

CEO Barb Glenn says ag directors, secretaries, and commissioners will develop policies addressing food and ag issues.

“NASDA members work on policy through their policy committees and all of those will be online and open to the public,” she says.

Members will propose new policy during committee meetings on marketing and international trade, rural development, food systems, pesticide regulation, natural resources, and animal agriculture. Members will vote on policy during the virtual business meeting on September 3.

Glenn says the meeting will have a North Dakota flair led by NASDA President and North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.

The meeting is set for September 1-3. Click here for more information.
