More than 3 million eggs donated by Michigan producers

The head of the Michigan Allied Poultry Industries says members donated more than three million eggs in 2022.

Dr. Nancy Barr tells Brownfield the support is an annual tradition.

“It’s part of their culture and their belief that they should be giving back, and they primarily try to give back first to their local communities, but these eggs go all around the state,” she shares.

She says eggs came from DeWeerdt Poultry Farm, Farm Crest Foods, Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch, Schipper Eggs, Sunrise Acres Egg Farm, VandeBunte Eggs, and Zoet Poultry.  Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch in Ionia reported donating a record 2.2 million eggs last year throughout Michigan and Pennsylvania.
