MO State Fair Foundation raising funds for wildfire relief

The Missouri State Fair Foundation is raising money for western wildfire relief and recovery – by selling t-shirts featuring the first paragraph of the FFA creed on them. Foundation director Wendy Faulconer tells Brownfield Ag News the foundation felt moved to include the creed, “As we watched the victims, the people who were struggling to survive the wildfire(s), and those who were seeking their way of doing something, of helping – it just seemed like both sides were living out the creed.”

The foundation will donate money from the t-shirt sales to the Kansas Livestock Association and Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association fire relief funds. They’ll be selling them online through May 12th.

Faulconer says the cash can be useful for those who need to buy fencing and other rebuilding supplies in their specific areas.
