MO Governor: feedback to hold state fair positive

Governor Mike Parson says he’s received positive feedback on the decision to hold the 2020 state fair.

Parson tells Brownfield the state needs to be doing two things during COVID-19…

“We got to fight the virus, the virus is still going to be out there, I say that all the time,” he said. “But life’s got to go on.”

He says Missouri’s youth have worked for months on fair projects and deserve the opportunity to showcase their livestock.

“I think it’s really important that we showcase our agriculture in this state and there’s not a better place to do it in the Missouri State Fair,” Parson said.

The state fair will be held from August 13th through the 23rd. Brownfield interviewed Parson at the Missouri Agribusiness Association Conference.
