MO farmer reflects on ag leadership program

A leadership program is helping Missouri ag professionals build their network and hone their leadership skills.

West central Missouri farmer Daniel Carpenter is part of the Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow program…

“It’ll be a two-year program and it gives you a lot of opportunities to interact with and network with agricultural minds and leadership all over the state of Missouri.”

The program features ten in-state three-day leadership sessions and a week-long seminar in Washington D.C.

“We just got done with our northwest trip where we got to have dinner at Congressman [Sam] Graves’ house and picked his mind a little bit,” Carpenter said. “It just gives you a good opportunity to get in touch with those people in those circles and I’d recommend it for anybody looking to get in that.”

Carpenter says applications for next year’s program will be open for the next couple of weeks on MO ALOT’s website.
