MO Farm Bureau very pleased about USMCA

The president of the Missouri Farm Bureau says it is a very good thing that the USMCA has passed the House.

“We know that it WILL pass in the Senate. We’re fully confident. So getting it through the House was a big deal. The margin was HUGE when it finally came up for a vote, well over 350 votes in favor.”

Blake Hurst tells Brownfield it would have been nice to have the deal done before Christmas but it’s still very positive for agriculture, “It’s just good news, there’s no way to look at this but that it’s positive for Missouri agriculture and farmers all across the country so we’re very, very pleasesd that this happened.”

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa has set a January 7th mark-up date for the USMCA, saying he expects the Senate will have received the legislation from the House before that.
