MO Farm Bureau concerned over Biden revisiting WOTUS

The President of Missouri Farm Bureau says he is concerned about President Biden revisiting the Waters of the United States Rule…

“When we talk about automatically pausing or putting a freeze and reviewing areas that we felt were much more favorable for agriculture and the environment it should give us pause,” Garrett Hawkins said.

Hawkins tells Brownfield ag groups should be ready to explain how farmers are protecting the environment and how changes in regulation affect farmers’ ability to operate.

“We have to have a seat at the table,” Hawkins said. “Particularly for Farm Bureau, you look at our membership, we represent every size and scope of farm and the diversity of agriculture.”

Hawkins said Missouri Farm Bureau’s team is working ‘tirelessly’ to make sure their members are heard.
