MN Congressman welcomes WOTUS replacement

A Republican member of the House Ag Committee is welcoming the EPA’s replacement to the Waters of the U.S. rule.

Jim Hagedorn of Minnesota calls WOTUS a case of government overreach by the Obama Administration.

“It was totally unlawful, and it was a regulation that was so onerous it was going to drive up costs not just for farmers and small businesses and others. But it was going to put the use of their land and businesses at risk.”

He tells Brownfield he hasn’t seen the full text of the new regulation.

“But I do trust this administration far more than the previous administration to have the best interest of all involved.”

Hagedorn says that means clean water and clean air while protecting property rights.
