Missouri workforce development benefits rural communities too

Governor Parson did not directly mention agriculture in his State of the State address Wednesday, but he tells Brownfield other programs he talked about will have impacts on rural Missouri.

“I think the workforce development piece would be key to that,” Parson said. “The infrastructure is so important to the agriculture side of it.”

Parson says workforce development prepares students for careers in ag.

“When we start looking at high school kids trying to get them certified for the workforce, I think agriculture plays a huge role in that too,” he said.

Parson says he wants to give all students the same opportunities no matter where they’re from.
