Missouri Governor Parson establishes Flood Recovery Advisory Group

Missouri Governor Mike Parson has signed an executive order establishing a state Flood Recovery Advisory Group.

The advisory group will provide input on flood recovery priorities and assess the state’s current levee system. It will include members from the Departments of Natural Resources, Agriculture, Transportation and others.

The advisory group will submit its initial report to the Governor by the end of the year with a final report at the end of May.

More than 80 levees have overtopped or breached this year from record flooding in Missouri.
