Missouri Farm Bureau on failure of eminent domain bill

Missouri Farm Bureau president Garrett Hawkins says they are disappointed the Missouri legislature failed to pass legislation curbing Eminent Domain abuse. He says the use of eminent domain for private gain like the Grain Belt Express takes advantage of landowners and cannot continue.

Hawkins calls the wind energy project a money making venture, not a public service. He says Missouri Farm Bureau will be working with the bills’ sponsors on steps forward.
