Missouri crops are showing the effects of inadequate rainfall.

Corn is 48 percent good to excellent with 76 percent silking.

Soybeans blooming reached 43 percent, 28 percentage points ahead of the five-year average. The crop is 48 percent good to excellent.

Cotton is 63 percent good to excellent with 33 percent of the crop setting bolls.

Missouri rice is 62 percent good to excellent with 18 percent headed.

Winter wheat is 95 percent harvested.

Below average rainfall left topsoil moisture at only 31 percent adequate to surplus.
