Missouri Century Farm applications being accepted
The Missouri Century Farms recognition program is now taking applications for more 100-year-old family farms (through May 1st).
The farms must be owned by the same family for 100 years in a row since 1922 or before, be at least 40 acres of the original land acquisition and make a financial contribution to the overall farm income.
Sponsored by Missouri Farm Bureau and the University of Missouri Extension and College of Agriculture (CAFNR), more than 8,000 century farms have been recognized in the program since 1976.
