Missouri 4-H members exceed their food drive goal

Missouri’s 4-H clubs have exceeded their goal of raising funds in their annual food drive.

After setting a goal to raise enough for 250-thousand meals for hungry families, the 4-Hrs raised enough for nearly 300-thousand meals.

Scott Baker, with Feeding Missouri, praised the students for their efforts – saying some food banks have seen demand increase by as much as 100% during the COVID-19 response.

Marshall Stewart, University of Missouri vice chancellor for extension praised the students saying “even in the midst of all the challenges around COVID-19” they stepped up.

The 4-H Feeding Missouri Food drive was in partnership with Missouri Farmers Care Drive to Feed Kids (January through April).
