Minnesota soybean harvest surpasses 80%

The harvest pace remains about two weeks ahead of normal in Minnesota.

USDA’s latest weekly crop report says as of Sunday, 83 percent of soybeans and 36 percent of corn has been harvested.

Corn moisture is averaging 19 percent.

Warm weather has slowed the harvest of sugarbeets, with 17 percent of the crop lifted.  That’s well behind last year’s 81 percent and the five-year average of 49 percent.
