Minnesota Pork launches We Care social media campaign

Commodity groups continue to use social media to reach consumers.

Minnesota Pork director of communications Katelyn Gradert says they’ve gathered a group of swine veterinarians, nutritionists, as well as male and female pig farmers, to share videos highlighting the six We Care ethical principles established by the National Pork Board.

“Focusing on food safety, animal well-being, public health, the environment, the people, and their communities.”

She tells Brownfield the videos, which can be found on Minnesota Pork’s social media platforms, are garnering a lot of traction.

“Simply because they’re showing their authentic story, and that really resonates with audiences and we’re able to see that back on our end.”

Gradert says viewers appreciate the behind-the-scenes look at modern pig farming.
