Minnesota one of several states whose residents have received mystery seed bags

Minnesota is one of several states reporting residents have received unsolicited packages of seeds appearing to come from China.

Minnesota Department of Agriculture Seed Unit Supervisor Denise Thiede (theed) says officials are uncertain what these seeds may be and why people are receiving them.

She says until more is known, those who receive the mystery seeds should call the Arrest the Pest hotline at 888 545-6684, or email [email protected].

Theide also asks that packages not be thrown away and says people should not plant the seeds.
