Minnesota harvest progress: soybeans at 87% and 34% for corn

Harvest in Minnesota is progressing much faster than normal.

The latest weekly crop report from USDA shows soybean harvest at 87 percent complete, 17 days faster than the five-year average.

Corn for grain is 34 percent harvested with moisture averaging 19 percent.  The harvest pace on corn is nearly three weeks ahead of last year and 10 days ahead of average.

The harvest of sunflowers is at 41 percent, sugarbeets are 86 percent harvested, and it’s 95 percent for potatoes.

Dry bean harvest, at 97 percent complete, is a remarkable five weeks ahead of 2019.
