Minnesota Farm Bureau receives New Horizon Award

Minnesota Farm Bureau is one of six states to receive the New Horizon Award during the American Farm Bureau Convention.

President Dan Glessing says it’s in recognition of remodeling the ag literacy exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair.

“And the efforts we put into there, and just trying to educate the consumers and share our farmers’ voice really. So we were recognized with that.”

Minnesota Farm Bureau redesigned its building on the fairgrounds in 2021, bringing a theme that Glessing says tells the story of agriculture in the state to fairgoers of all ages.

“We are pretty proud of that state fair booth and the interaction we have with those consumers.”

Glessing says when displays aren’t being used for the fair, they move between agriculture interpretive centers and classrooms across Minnesota.
