Minnesota Corn Growers launch Better Fuel Initiative

Minnesota is once again looking to take the lead on renewable fuels.

Harold Wolle, a board director for both the Minnesota Corn Growers and National Corn Growers Associations, says MCGA is launching the Better Fuel Initiative.

“The tagline is better fuel for Minnesota from Minnesota.”

He tells Brownfield the initiative compliments the Trump Administration’s efforts to promote higher blends of ethanol nationally.

“It dovetails nicely, (and) Minnesota has been a leader on the ethanol front. We were the first state to have a 10 percent mandate, and it would sure be wonderful if we can continue our leadership and get this E15 standard in place.”

Wolle says through the Better Fuel Initiative, consumers will learn that moving to a statewide E15 mandate would improve the environment, fuel prices, and rural Minnesota.
