Midwest Dairy connects dairy’s sustainability story to Earth Day

Midwest Dairy is building partnerships to help share dairy’s sustainability story in support of Earth Day.

Vice President of Demand Martha Kemper says one of the best ways to build trust and drive sales is by explaining to consumers how dairy is produced in a sustainable way.

“It’s good for the land, the animals, and of course the people who consume the dairy products we love. So Earth Day really provides a great platform to have that conversation with our partners and our consumers.”

Midwest Dairy is partnering with retailers like Coborn’s and Cub Foods to address consumer misconceptions.

“An educated consumer is going to make a good decision for them, and hopefully supports the dairy community with all the great information that we have to share on the effort that we’re making for the net zero initiative.”

Kemper tells Brownfield throughout the month retailers will be showcasing dairy sustainability videos and in-store signage.  There will also be a social media campaign, and opportunities for retailers to work with their dairy vendor on in-store promotions and special offers.
