Michigan farmers contend with freezing & snowy conditions

Michigan farmers rushed to harvest what crops they could as
winter weather loomed last week.
The USDA says the state’s corn crop condition is 43 percent
good to excellent with 91 percent mature, 33 percent harvested for grain and 95
percent harvested for silage.
Soybeans are 74 percent harvested while dry beans are 92
percent complete and sugarbeets are 80 percent harvested.
