Massey named World Livestock Auctioneer Champion

The 2023 World Livestock Auctioneer Champion is Jacob Massey of Petersburg, Tennessee.  Massey has participated in the contest for more than a decade and in 2022 was named the Runner-up Reserve Champion (3rd place).  Massey will spend the next year sharing his auctioneering skills with other livestock auctions around the country

Massey graduated from the North Georgia School of Auctioneering in 2007, was the 2009 Tennessee State Champion, previously named Mule Day Auctioneer Champion, has won multiple WLAC Qualifying events, and has been a WLAC finalist multiple times.

He sells at three cattle auctions a week and multiple purebred cattle auctions every year.  Massey also runs cattle on his farm in Southern Middle Tennessee.

The 59th World Livestock Auction Championship was held in Arcadia, Florida in conjunction with the 2023 Livestock Marketing Association’s Annual Convention.
