MABA names new president

The Michigan Agri-Business Association says Chuck Lippstreu will succeed its longtime president Jim Byrum.

Lippstreu currently serves on the communications team at Land O’Lakes, Inc. and previously managed a wide range of MABA activities and worked with ag organizations across Michigan while with Byrum & Fisk Communications. He also worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an advisor to the Farm Service Agency administrator and as a speechwriter for Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.

Byrum will officially retire in February.
