Levi Strauss & Co is the latest brand to join the US Cotton Trust Protocol.  More than 90% of Levi Strauss products are cotton based and the company, along with its legacy brands, has committed to sourcing 100% more sustainably grown cotton as it focuses on decreasing water use, cutting carbon emissions, and reducing fertilizer and pesticide use.

Jeffrey Hogue, chief sustainability officer at Levi Strauss & Co says membership in the USCTP is an important step and key partnership to help the company meet its sustainability goals.

The Trust Protocol has welcomed more than 450 brand, retailer, mill, and manufacturer members since its launch in 2020.  Other major brands include Gap and its collection of brands.  Levi Strauss is one of the most recognizable denim companies in the world.
