Less than 10% of corn and soybeans left to harvest in Illinois

Illinois farmers are harvesting their final fields with less than 10% of corn and soybean left to cut.

The USDA reports as of Sunday 95% of Illinois corn is harvested, up 5 percentage points from the week before and ahead of the average 92%.

Soybean harvest reached 93% complete, up from 85% the week before, but slightly behind the five-year average.

Winter wheat planting increased 6 points from last week to 86% complete, 10 points behind average. 99% of the crop was planted at this time last year. 71% of the crop has emerged.
