Latest U.S.-China talks end without settlement

According to various media reports, the latest round of trade talks between the U.S. and China ended on Sunday, with China warning that all progress between the two countries could be lost if the U.S. pushes ahead with trade sanctions, including tariffs.

A statement released Sunday by China’s official news agency said both sides achieved “concrete progress” on agricultural issues with details yet to be hammered out. But the statement added that, if the U.S. introduces trade sanctions including tariffs, any results from the negotiations “won’t go into effect.”
